Innovation in Real Estate: The New In-House Developed Tool by Bestendig Vastgoed

Bestendig Vastgoed is a certified company specializing in providing energy labels for homes and properties. Until recently, the company used an external tool to recruit potential customers through a series of questions. However, this tool had a limited design and cost the company money for external parties. Moreover, valuable data was not in their own hands.

For these reasons, Bestendig Vastgoed sought a way to develop the tool in-house. This allowed the company to control what happened to the data and eliminated costs to external parties. Additionally, the goal was to give the form a better design.

To develop this new tool, a Wordpress plugin was chosen. This plugin is separate from the rest of Bestendig Vastgoed's website, meaning the tool can always be easily moved to another Wordpress website if necessary.

The tool uses multiple APIs to determine the customer's location and to request the current energy label. In addition, the travel costs are calculated based on the distance from Bestendig Vastgoed's office to the customer's location.

For real estate agents working with Bestendig Vastgoed, it is also possible to place the form on their own website, allowing them to process customer requests. In the tool's backend dashboard, agents can enter their own details, as well as costs and other settings. Based on this, the form is automatically generated.

When a customer makes a request, both Bestendig Vastgoed and the relevant real estate agent are notified with all the filled-in details.

The final product is a working tool used by both Bestendig Vastgoed and many real estate agents. You can view and try out the form for yourself!
